Shahnaz Currim

Shahnaz holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Arizona State University and a Master’s Degree in Montessori Education from Loyola College in Maryland.  She received her AMI Primary Diploma in 1997 from Montessori Education Center in Arizona, and her AMI Elementary Diploma in 2002 from the Montessori Institute of San Diego.

Shahnaz has over 30 years of Montessori experience, teaching at both the Primary and Elementary levels.  Currently, she is the Elementary Program Director at Heartwood Montessori School in Mesa, Arizona. 

In addition to teaching, Shahnaz is involved with the local Montessori community and training center, The Southwest Institute of Montessori Studies, as a National Examiner.   Shahnaz is a member of AMI/EAA and over the years has hosted many teachers in training and served as a Mentor Teacher
